We serve more than 500 education clients representing over six million students — from school districts and SELPAs to county offices of education, charter schools, government agencies, and municipalities. Job Details- Join a dynamic team of 120+ attorneys serving California's public education system.
- Handle civil litigation on behalf of school districts and community colleges in state and federal court
- Draft and argue motions including summary judgment and dispositive motions
- Take and defend depositions
- Manage administrative proceedings and regulatory defense matters
- Provide strategic counseling and risk mitigation directly to administrators and boards
- Carry a substantive caseload with real autonomy across complex, education-specific legal issues
Looking For:
- CA Bar
- Background in education law, labor and employment, public entity defense, civil rights, or administrative law preferred
- Insurance defense and/or public entity experience helpful
